Microsoft has already released its first TV ad for the Surface tablet, and today it also offered up a new behind-the-scenes video on the creation of the Windows RT-based device. Microsoft also released a more general video, via its PR team, that goes over the basics of the features included as part of the Surface.
The video presentation shows the Surface being used out in the wild (or as “wild” as a controlled video shoot can be) with extra emphasis being given to the built in kickstand and the optional Touch Cover and Type Cover keyboards. It also shows off the many ports of the Surface, including its MicroSD card slot, its USB 2.0 port and its HD video out port.
The video also shows off Windows RT itself, as users interact with its “Modern” user interface.
As we have reported before, the Surface is now available for pre-order in several countries and is scheduled to go on sale on October 26th, alongside the launch of Windows 8 and its many third party PC hardware products.
